It's good to give them pine tree needles and branches to chew on. It helps keep their teeth from growing too big. I think they also need rabbit pellet food, don't they?

ehm.....
I advise against the rabbit pellet food, it would be better to substitute it with vegetables like carrot, celery, fennel, chicory. The vegetables are more natural for the rabbit's intestine Smile
The rabbit pellet food has freely sold in the pet shop, because it is created for the battery farming where a rabbit lives untill 6 months - 1 year before to be killed.
I give them olive tree branches and leaves, but they prefer the branches rather than the leaves Smile however for the ever-growing teeth is important the grass otherwise the hay.
Grass and hay are very very important also for the digestive system. They together with vegetables, are at the base of the rabbit diet

Ary,those rabbits are just so dang cute!!!!!
Do they use the same litter box as the cats do or do they need there own?
My husband has some relatives over there not sure were they live at but, I think his grandfather grow up in campotosto area.

Hi Linda,
My rabbits are neutered and they diligent use their litter box, which is composed by pellet (sawdust pressed).... I mean is the same pellet uses for the wood-stoved
Campotosto is in Abruzzo, I have never visited that zone, but I know that there are many beautiful places in Abruzzo.
Have you ever visited Italy?

RE: My rabbits
Well, I learned a lot today. I haven't had a rabbit for about 25 years so I am sure things have changed. They certainly look well cared for so I can tell you know what you are talking about. Smile
